Bernard blazes the trail for Stellenbosch

Adrian has been demoted to 30kyu, and Ben has been promoted to 16 kyu. A special congratulations to Bernard, who becomes the first player in over 7 years, and the third player ever (along with Konrad and Andre Connell) to achieve 4 kyu at the Stellenbosch club. After joining the club as a 17 kyu last April, and being almost immediately demoted to 18 kyu after his first three games, Bernard caught his stride, and has gone straight down to 4 kyu without a demotion, and with none of his promotions taking more than 10 games. After promoting from 18kyu to 4 kyu in just 55 recorded games, we have high hopes for Bernard.

    Congrats Bernard!

What about Reinhardt? Sure, he started somewhere else, but he reached 4k while playing at Stb and CT.

  3. Steve says:

You’re absolutely right! Sorry, Reinhardt – your Stellenbosch membership slipped my mind there. So that makes Bernard the 4th 4 kyu for the club. And the third one less than 3 weeks ago! Pity we have to share Reins with Cape Town 😛

  4. Tristen says:

Hey, Reinhardt learnt his go in PTA and JHB (somewhere else indeed ;)). We’re only getting our confidence back now that he’s down in the Cape.
