SAGA Council elections status

In the light of an objection by Chris Visser to Victor Chow’s nomination, the SAGA council met last Wednesday, and as a result of their meeting, they have declared Victor’s nomination invalid. They further stated that as a result, no postal ballot will be held, and Sakkie Buys, Leander Gaum and Konrad Scheffler have automatically been elected to the next council.

I have challenged Victor’s disqualification as unconstitutional, and am still waiting for a response from SAGA. Hopefully, this issue will be addressed quickly, as time for a postal ballot is starting to run low.

For full details on the grounds for disqualification, for the SAGA council’s minority view, and for my challenge, see the recent posts on the SAGA mailing list.
