Meijin game 2 underway on IGS

The second game of this year’s Meijin title match is currently underway, with moves being relayed live on IGS.

After 56 moves, the game looks like this:

Cho U, defending title holder is White, while Kobayashi Satoru is Black. To see the rest of the game unfold, log on to IGS, and look for the game “meijin (9p) vs meijin (9p)”.

The game has been adjourned for 22 September, and will continue on 23 September – note the difference in time zones means the game will start very early in the morning on IGS (SA time).

This news was a bit late – move 56 turned out to be the last move of the day, before play was adjourned.
