Aketa-sensei’s visit. Day 2,3 and 4.

Wednesday, 19th October 2005. Day 4.

Aketa-sensei is taking a well deserved break today. He has been playing quite a lot of games recently and asked for a quiet day with no Go (I believe he played more than 60 games in Jo’burg and nearly 10 already in Cape Town).

I hope Aketa-sensei enjoys his day off. His visit to the Stellenbosch club is up next and we know how relentless they can be.

Tuesday, 18th October 2005. Day 3.

Aketa-sensei visited Table Mountain. The evening was spent playing Go at A Touch of Madness; the regular venue for the Cape Town Go club.

Monday, 17th October 2005. Day 2.

Guillaume took Aketa-sensei to the Waterfront. They spent the day there and went to Roxy’s afterwards to play Go.

Fun Fact: Aketa-sensei learned how to play Go at 18 when he was at university. A friend (a 9 dan pro) coached him for 35 years.

Steve says that anybody wanting to visit him & Aketa-sensei at Steve’s flat on Friday should first phone him, as they might play go someplace more scenic. His number is 084 4588062.
