A Google breakthrough

Our website now appears on the first results page on Google when one searches for “SAGC” (even if only at number 10).

But entering “playing go in south africa” gives the site #1. I don’t really understand the significance of the search position of some arbitrary acronym. Who on earth would search for “SAGC”?

Only #7, not #1. I just found it interesting, you’re free to not. It could be used by someone who has visited the site and remembers the name, but not the URL. And now knows he doesn’t have to type “South African Go Clubs”.

This fact also provides an upper bound to the solution of: “how few characters do you need to find the site on the first page from Google”. Anyone that can find something shorter?

LOL That is something that would only amuse a statistician like you Steve 😀
