European Oza now live on KGS

As in now, 3 o’ clock on Friday afternoon. Board 1 is Svetlana Shikshina, a Russian female 1-dan pro at the Hankuk Ki-won (Korean Go Institute), vs. Benjamin Teuber, an amateur 6-dan ex-insei and one of the top German players. Board 2 features ex-insei and long-time Magic of Go columnist, top Dutch player Rob van Zeijst (7-dan) against the 6-dan Dutch amateur, Geert Groenen, who is one of the top 5 Dutch players.

The pro news is probably not going to happen today, I’ll try to get to it early next week. My simple excuse was that it slipped my mind it was Friday 🙁

So now you have time to spare from reading my report, get on KGS. Before the games finish (Board 1 is on move 41, and board 2 on move 20 at this very moment).

  1. Steve says:

Did I mention that the 5-dan Chinese pro, Guo Juan is commenting on the board 1 game on KGS as well? Go there.

  2. Steve says:

As with all breaking news, some errors are bound to creep in. The game I said was board 1 is actually board 3.

Details are at the website for the tournament.
