Problem collections

Vit Brunner, a 4-dan from Czechoslovakia has 3 documents available on his website, each featuring more than 700 problems from Cho Chikun’s Encyclopedia of Life & Death. Each Postscript document features just the problems, without solutions. The 3 documents are for elementary, intermediate and advanced problems, and are just over 100 pages of problems each.

Visit his page here.

How does one view a postscript file? Assume that I am a Windows user.

Google! To the best of my knowledge you need to install 2 apps: “Ghostscript” and “GSView”.

    This URL may help:

Actually – you can just install ghostview (I suspect this is the same program that comes bundled by default with Linux for viewing postscript files).

    Ghostscript is here: http://www.seas.ucla.edu/~ee5cta/ghostView/

ghostview/ghostscript is a solution, but a big download and a rather kludgy interface. http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/

There’s also ROPS (which includes a limited but functional free version). http://www.rops.org/

Also a rather cute online viewer at http://view.samurajdata.se/
